CATEGORIES

Expedition category
This young category gives the opportunity to enjoy the rally in a more ‘touristic’ fashion. A special ‘guide-car’ will make it possible to take trips away from the route itself. The caravan will leave in front of the official contestants. There are special requirements concerning car, equipment and preparations .

Ultralights category
A new category which is supported by the brazilian Ultralight Association ABUL. This category is not about speed, but about following the rules. Pilot and navigator of the planes are required to have GPS. Admittance fee is 1500R$

Cars
Beginners Any type of vehicle up to 4 cilinders, with driver and navigator, not participating in the rally
Marathon Production car, off road, 2 or 4WD, running on alcohol, petrol or diesel, up to 2500cc. Model must still be in production.
TTD All terrain Diesel Standard production car, off road, 4x4 or 4x2, diesel, free to modification.
TT1 All terrain 1 Standard production car, off road, 4x4 or 4x2, alcohol or petrol up to 2500cc, free to modification.
TT2 All terrain 2 Standard production car, off road, 4x4 or 4x2, alcohol or petrol, above 2500cc, free to modification.
TT3 All terrain 3 Non standard production car, off road, 4x4 of 4x2, prototypes or experimental cars, free to modification. Cars have to meet requirements made by technical commission
Expedition Any type car, off-road, outside of classifications
Trucks
TTC All terrain trucks Trucks 4x4, 6x6, free to modification.
Bikes
Beginners Bikes, regardless of engine size, for first-time participants.
Marathon Trail-bikes up to 400cc, standard production engine, on sale in Brazil
Production Enduro-Bikes, two-stroke engine up to 350cc, or four-stroke engine up to 700cc, on sale in Brazil.
Super Production Enduro-bikes, cross, rally and prototypes, from 125cc, free to modification.

Good lighting obligatory.

Expedition Any type off-road motor, outside of classifications
